Bhubaneswar: It’s been a great start for Ollywood in 2023 so far, especially after the release from last year, ‘Daman’ & ‘Pratiksha’ which continued it’s fascinating box office run and glued Odia audience back to the theatres!
‘Mana Museum’ had its premier show in the presence of its cast, crew and other crème de la crème faces of the twin city. Produced by Sangita Mohanty under the banner of Sangita Motion Pictures, the film is releasing across 10 districts of Odisha.
Mana Museum is a story of Pati, who is a cinematographer and Mani, who is his childhood friend. Pati had purchased a house and planned to make it a museum, where all the collections of Mani’s memoirs were hidden. During the journey from childhood to adolescence, when they fell in love, they did not realize it. Since childhood, Pati used to secretly collect Mani’s used items like hairclips, old pencils, scales, pens, etc. and preserved them. Mani also deliberately found various reasons to meet Pati regularly. But misfortune made them separate from each other till they meet once again after twenty long years. We all say childhood love is pure, and expect the affair to end in marriage. But if Pati and Mani’s love had a different ending to their pure love story!
‘Mana Museum’ is directed by Dhrubananda Panda, who is a leading cinematographer from Ollywood and has been associated with more than 45 Odia films as a DOP. Some of his hit movies are ‘Love Master’, ‘Abhya’, ‘Siva Not Out’, and ‘Super Star’.
The movie has Nihar Nayak and Upasana in the lead roles. A professionally trained actor, Nihar studied professional acting at the Houde School of Acting in the US. His acting career began with Hollywood movie “Slave to the Rhythm” by Patrick Manway in 2017. He then worked on several short movies, music videos and modelling assignments. His venture into the Odia movie industry through Mana Museum gained a lot of audience appreciation for his acting. While Upasana is a leading actress in Odisha and has delivered several well appreciated work with CHUMKI being her latest movie ahead of Mana Museum. As always Upasana left no stone unturned to do justice to her character.
Sayal Mukherjee and Animesh Ghosh played the young version of Pati & Mani. Their innocent chemistry truly glued the audience to the screen.
The crew of the movie includes all the top listed names from Odisha. Sarat Nayak is the music director, while Bijaya Malla is the lyricist. The screenplay and dialogue of the movie is written by Bharadwaj Panda. Sukumar Mani is the editor of the movie while Girish Mohanty is the choreographer.
