Kaniha:Mega blood donation camp was organized by NTPC Talcher Kaniha in collaboration with Sambad Aamo, Odisha, Kaniha Sachetana Nagrik Manch, and Kaniha College on December 4, 2020. The camp was organized under a CSR initiative of NTPC Talcher Kaniha.
Chief Guest for the event, MP Mahesh Sahoo along with Shri Ramesh Jena, BDO, Kaniha, Shri Patitapavan Devta, Tehsildar, Ms Namita Sahoo, Chairman, Kaniha Panchayat Samiti, Shri Prabhat Tripathy, IIC Kaniha, Dr. Sumant Patel, Kaniha PHC, Dhaneswar Sahoo, Lecturer, Shri Budha Deva Sahoo, President Sachetana Nagrik Manch, Shri Ranjan Sahoo, Secretary, Shri Nilamani Dehury, Range officer, Kaniha inaugurated the Blood donation camp.
The blood donation was conducted by Dr. Biswajit Patnaik and Dr. Jasketan Pradhan along with medical staff from Angul Blood Bank. A total of 190 units of blood was collected.
The blood camp saw active participation of volunteers from neighboring villages and adjoining regions, who extended their support for this noble cause. NTPC Talcher Kaniha organizes such blood donation camps at various occasions, every year under its CSR initiatives to serve the society and save lives.
