Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan garlanded the portrait of Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, the great hero of Kakori incident, on his birth anniversary today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan paid floral tributes at his residence remembering him. Shri Bismil was born on June 11, 1897 in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil was a prominent fighter of the revolutionary stream of the Indian independence movement, who was hanged by the British government at the age of 30. He was involved in many incidents like Mainpuri Conspiracy and Kakori-Kand. He was also a member of Hindustan Republican Association. Shri Ram Prasad Bismil was also a poet, shayar, translator, multilingual, historian and litterateur.
