Sambalpur: More students from Coalfields areas should join MBBS course at the Mahanadi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (MIMSAR), a state-of-the-art medical institute built in Talcher under CSR by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), Chairman-cum-Managing Director Mr BN Shukla said.
MBBS classes with batch of 100 students at the MIMSAR are likely to begin from next academic session 2020-21.
In a statement issued to educational institutes in and around coalfields, Mr B N Shukla, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, has desired for maximum meritorious students of from peripheral areas of Coalfields taking admission to the MBBS course at MIMSAR.
“We want that the aspirant boys and girls of Talcher and Ib Valley Coalfields — in Angul, Jharsuguda and Sundergarh districts of Odisha – must prepare in advance through coaching so that they can secure admission into MIMSAR,” the CMD said.
Mr Shukla has also sought suggestions regarding facilitation of coaching for young aspirants of coalfields to quality National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
