Bhubaneswar: Infosys Women Inclusivity Network (IWIN) Bhubaneswar is back and how! The International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations 2018 marked a celebration of gender equality; challenge the many inequalities that are still prevalent and overcome the same by supporting each other and the theme is #pressforprogress at Infosys Development Centre (DC).
The IWIN core team planned for a month long “DIVA’s Celebrations” across the Software Technology Park (STP) and special economic zone (SEZ) campuses. All beautiful ladies in the campus joined the celebrations as they wanted to be part of the life’s celebration as women contribute the most for the progress of the current world society and economy. The mega event commenced on March 8 and is still going on and packed in a variety of events from various fields including group discussions, talent hunt, musical extravaganza and sports.
The celebrations kicked off with “IWD themed Photo Kiosk” which gave teams opportunity to have fun with selfies and celebrate with teams/coworkers and the launching of the 1st edition of our new series “Her Story – My Success, My Story” which intends to create a platform to share stories of Women leaders of the Development Centre in their own words.
The D-Day (8th March) started on a grand scale where the DIVAs of the DC were greeted with a beautiful badge which was a “Token of appreciation for herself” and the contractual staff being given chocolates.
The gala celebrations in the evening was “An All Women event” – by the women, for the women and it was all about women! It started with the ceremonial lamp lighting and some inspiring words from one of the woman leaders of the DC and comprised of music and dance performances by Divas of the DC, talent hunt named “She’s got Talent” and an “Antakshari’’ show..
The field roared with “Yeh Dill Maange More” and ladies are already eager for next year celebration.
