Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that 10-10 kg ration will be supplied to the eligible beneficiaries in bags from the first week of August. Free ration of 5 kg each per person will be provided under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and 5 kg each ration under Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana (at the rate of Re 1 per kg) to the eligible families
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that distribution of ration would be started ceremoniously at every fair price shop in the state on August 7. On this day, ministers, MPs, MLAs and other public representatives will be present at fair price shops and get the work done .
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the work related to ration distribution of Food and Civil Supplies Department in Mantralaya today. Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Bisahu Lal Singh, Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Food Shri Faiz Ahmed Kidwai etc. were present in the meeting.
Strict action will be taken against those indulging in irregularities
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that this is the ration of the poor. Strict action will be taken against anyone who indulges in irregularities. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that it will be ensured that every eligible person gets free and fair price ration in bags in prescribed quantity. There should be complete transparency in the work.
All arrangements should be made at fair price shops
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that all necessary arrangements should be made at fair price shops. All shops should be painted and cleaned. All the required information should be displayed in the prescribed format. Banner of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana should be put up. Authentication of measurement and weighing machines should be done.
About 5 crore beneficiaries will get benefit
In the distribution of ration, 4 crore 89 lakh 89 thousand 855 beneficiaries of 1 crore 15 lakh 46 thousand 59 families of the state will get benefit. Ration will be provided to them from 25 thousand 423 fair price shops in the state.
