Jagan Mohan Reddy is failing to gain financial support

Every part of the country is getting affected by COVID-19 spread. Though Prime Minister Modi announced a total lockdown in the country a week ago, the virus is still spreading, and new cases are being discovered on a daily basis. The situation is worst in some states, including Maharashtra, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh. According to a report published in telugubulletin.com, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Jagan Mohan Reddy is getting the heat from the critics. A few days back, Andhra Pradesh was doing much better than the other states, but suddenly the number of cases started to rise, and administration is finding new cases every day.

What is the current situation in Andhra Pradesh?

As of now, there are more than 190 possible COVID-19 positives in the state, and the state government is in urgent need of a huge amount of funds to deal with the situation. The CM Relief Fund account to Andhra Pradesh exists, but everyone is aware of the fact that it will not cover even 10% of the required amount. With the increasing number of cases, the pressure is building upon the hospitals where the facilities are not at par according to the requirement to treat COVID-19 patients.

 Administrative intervention necessary

According to the experts, it is very important that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy comes forward and takes control of the situation. He has to ask the citizens for some donations on his level. While the Government of Telangana has decided to deduct salaries from the government employees, the sources suggest that the Andhra Pradesh Government is not able to take drastic steps to increase the inflow of funds.

What are the possible ways out?

Experts suggest that there are no additional ways at the moment that the Government of Andhra Pradesh can choose to take. It is the need of the hour that they have to ask donors for some funds. Jagan is a popular leader in Andhra Pradesh in comparison to any other regional or national leader. The businessmen, actors, industrialists, and others will respond to his call. If things go right, he can collect millions of rupees in a matter of days that will help in sorting out the situation in a better way.

The problems in raising funds

If experts are to believed, the Government of Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of Jagan is failing to deal with the situation. AP is going to see a very tough time in the near future if the state fails to raise funds. There is a limit to funds that can be arranged from the central government, and if AP fails to raise funds at the state level, it will be next to impossible to tackle the long term problems in every sector due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Jagan Mohan Reddy has to step up

If the Chief Minister is waiting for some miracle to happen, it is not going to help him even a bit. Without asking for support from the people of Andhra Pradesh, the government cannot tackle the situation properly. It is now on Jagan to come forward and ask for help from the business houses and community leaders to raise funds so that the state can prepare for the worse to come.
