Bhubaneswar: An interface meeting of Elected Women Representative with District Administration was organsied by People’s cultural Centre (PECUC), a leading voluntary organization of Odisha in collaboration with The Hunger Project (THP) at the Red Cross Bhawan. In this meeting more than 35 Women Elected Representative from Bolgarh and Balianta block of Khordha district participated.
The guest speaker of this programme were Mr. Sachidananda Pati, District Project Officer, Khordha, Ms. Banishree Pattnaik, District Child Protection Officer, Khordha, Ms. Sandhyarani Guru, District Emergency Officer, Khordha and Bijayalaxmi Behera, Child Development Project Officer, BMC, Bhubaneswar. They discussed on child protection, child right, child and mother care, village level emergency committee and role of women and also about their issues, Govt.s programme for emergency situation and also on various Govt.’s scheme and programme etc.
Among other Rasmita Patra, Sarpanch Benupur & President ALIBHA EWRs Federation also present in this meeting. The EWRs also put forward their issues like strengthening of child protection committee in the Panchayat level, informing people about all the schemes and programme relating to ICDS, Increasing the height of canal embankment to prevent flooding in the Balianta, providing Govt support to rightful beneficiary of the disaster etc in this interface meeting. Prashant Kumar Mallick, Upama Mohanty and Bamadeva Jena of PECUC conducted this programme.
