Bhubaneswar: The Regional Office of the Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall in the coastal and interior parts of the State from Sunday till October 30.
The IMD said a cyclonic circulation formed over the Bay of Bengal is likely to cause heavy rain in many places across the State.
The cyclonic circulation formed over the north western Bay of Bengal is likely to turn into a low pressure on October 29.
IMD Regional Director HR Biswas informed that a low pressure is likely to form over northwest Bay of Bengal on October 29 and under its impact the coastal and interior parts of Odisha would experience rainfall from Sunday till October 30.
Biswas further informed that light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur in coastal and interior parts of the State whereas heavy rainfall is likely in Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada districts.
Fishermen have been warned not to venture into deep sea in view of rough sea conditions likely to prevail in the next two days.
