Bhubaneswar: IMD issues Cold Wave yellow warning for 13 districts of Odisha during next 1-2 days. Met also forecasts spell of thundershower for several parts of the State between January 1-3, 2020.
Severe cold weather conditions continued to prevail across the State on Sunday. As many as 15 places recorded minimum temperature below 10 degree Celsius with Sonepur recording the lowest minimum temperature of 3.4 degree. The Regional Office of the Indian Metrological Department (IMD) here said Daringbadi recorded the minimum temperature of 5.5 degree Celsius followed by 4.6 in Angul, 6.1 in Titilagarh, 6.5 in Bhawanipatna, 6.6 in Keonjhar, 7.3 in Jharsuguda and 7.4 degree in Sambalpur.
Mild frost was witnessed in various areas of Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Bargarh and Kandhamal districts.
The twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded a minimum temperature of 8.8 degree and 10.2, respectively.
The IMD said already cold wave alert has been issued for several districts like Keonjhar, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Dhenkanal and Angul.
