Honda & RTO Bhubaneswar II modernise the Traffic Training Park in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Taking one step further in promotion of road safety in Bhubaneswar, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.has modernised and revamped the Road Safety and Traffic Training Park (near Chandrashekharpur police station) in Bhubaneswar.

Since adopting the traffic park in 2014, in collaboration with RTO Bhubaneswar, Honda 2Wheelers India has educated around 90,000 people on road safety in the city. Taking its commitment to promote the cause even further, Mr. Minoru Kato (President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.) and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Behara (Regional Transport Officer) today inaugurated the all new modernised traffic training park,Dream Riding (exclusively for women) and Safe Braking Contest.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Minoru Kato, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said: “Honda’s Road Safety and Traffic Training Park in Bhubaneswar has already trained around 90,000 people. The recent addition of Smart Classroom & Dream Riding are a significant step towards meeting our commitment of making Safe Riding an everyday habit of all 2Wheeler riders. Braking is an integral part of Safe Riding. The Safe Braking Contest conducted here in association with Regional Transport Office of Bhubaneswar is a key initiative to educate people on correct methods of braking in a safe and effective manner.”

The all new traffic training park in Bhubaneswar nowgets a more modern feel with Honda’s smart classroom. Here participants can learn valuable insights on the basics of riding. This includes a theory class followed by a practical session on Honda’s proprietary Riding Trainer.

Honda 2wheelers India has also introduced a new Dream Riding initiative exclusively for women of in Bhubaneswar. “Dream Riding” is a lifeline for every female who desires to become independent and empowered rider. Here Honda’s skilled female instructors train females to become liberated and safe two-wheeler riding in just 4 hours in a safe and controlled environment ABSOLUTELY FREE OF COST!

To learn riding under Honda’s “Dream Riding” programme, any female above 18 years of age simply has to drop an e-mail with their details to [email protected] or call+91- 84558-70396. Honda’s safety instructors will get in touch and schedule their session as per their convenience from Monday to Saturday.

Honda also conducted a unique Safe Braking Contest.The initiative educated citizens of Bhubaneswar about the importance of progressive braking. Effective application of brakes ensures safety of both rider and other road users.The specially designed training exercise was followed by a contest based on progressive braking module. Winners of the Safe Braking Contest were also felicitated with trophies by Mr. Minoru Kato and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Behara. The interactive environment helped riders understand the importance of Combi Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer, a feature which is standard on all Honda scooters.
