Shimla: The three-day conclave of Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party has provided an opportunity to the party to ponder on the achievements of the State Government and also gear up for the coming by-elections to the Mandi Parliamentary constituency and Fatehpur and Jubbal-Kotkhai Assembly constituencies besides general elections to the State Assembly. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while interacting with the members of electronic media here today.
Chief Minister said that detailed discussions were held with the party office bearers, MLAs and Party candidates for general elections to Vidhan Sabha in 2017 during the conclave. He said that meeting was also held with Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of various Boards and Corporations. He said that the meeting was fruitful in preparing roadmap for 2022 Vidhan Sabha elections.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the candidates for by-elections would be announced as soon as the schedule for by-elections was announced. He said that the party was confident of winning all the by-elections.
Chief Minister said that the cases of corona virus were gradually declining which was a sign of relief to the people of the State. He said that the Government was fully aware of the situation and was ensuring that no laxity and casualness was adopted. He said that the pace of vaccination would also be speeded up.
