Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in some places of the State on June 10 due to possible formation of a low pressure over east-central Bay of Bengal on June 8.
The districts to experience heavy to very heavy rains are Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Khordha, Koraput and Nabarangapur. Light to moderate rains are likely to occur in other places of the State.
At present, a cyclonic circulation lies over east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea between 3.1 km and 5.8 km above mean sea level, the IMD said.
