Bhubaneswar: Ensuring its promises to keep the city out of open defecation tag the Bhubaneswar municipal Corporation has opened 6 new toilet complexes in various slum areas of city. The ward no 14 which is under the North zone area of BMC got highest nos of toilets where 4 nos of Community Toilets inaugurated under the project samman initiatives.
Similarly in Barabhauja slum in ward no 49 one hybrid toilet complex opened for public use. It may be mentioned here that out of proposed 17 nos of toilets under project samman 14 nos of complexes already inaugurated during last 6 months of time and the rest toilet complexes would soon be ready to function latest by 31st March.
Recently community toilets inaugurated at Damana Hata basti, Sitanath Basti, Omfed Basti, two toilets complexes in Harekrushna Basti and one Hybrid toilet complex at Barabauja basti which is in ward no 49 of BMC. During the inauguration BMC Mayor Anant Narayan Jena, Bhubaneswar North MLA Priyadarshi Misrha and concerned corporators were present.
