Bhubaneswar: Acclaimed Film producer & Siffcy festival director Jitendra Mishra is selected jury for the prestigious BUFF International Film Festival, Malmo in Sweden this year. He will vote for the most important award of the festival: The city of Malmö’s award for best Children film.
The festival is scheduled from 23 to 29 March 2019 in the beautiful city of Malmo. BUFF is a non-profit association that arranges Sweden’s largest film festival for the young audience. The association BUFF was founded in 1984 and has been a member association with the aim of conveying qualitative film experiences to children and young people & the festival is an annual international children’s and youth film event that takes place in Malmö every year for a week in March. The festival has been the most important display window for films for children and young people in the Nordic countries.
Born in Titlagarh, Odisha, Jitendra Mishra is one of the few Indian film producers & promoters who have been able to create a benchmark in ‘Alternative method of Film Production, Distribution & Promotion’ at international level. Committed towards meaningful cinema, Jitendra has been associated only with socially relevant films made for young audience. He has already been associated with the production, distribution and promotion of more than 110 films in all categories. Many of them have got worldwide acclamation and recognition. His current production ‘The Last Color’ directed by Michelin Starred Chef Vikas Khanna is all set for world release soon, the fist look of the film was launched during the official event of prestigious Cannes Film festival and the film had it’s world premiere in 30th Palm Springs Int’l Film Fest, US recently.
Jitendra has already been invited to more than 20 international film festivals as a Jury in last couple of years, he was also selected Jury for the prestigious ‘European Children’s film association’ recently. He has been the festival director of the unique film festival ‘SIFFCY’ (Smile Int’l film festival for Children & Youth) which he has conceived the idea & designed for India’s most leading development organization Smile Foundation.

Awarded with the prestigious ‘Son of Odisha’ (Odia Pua), ‘Young Jury, ‘Youth Icon’, ‘Youth inspiration’ & many other awards, Jitendra Mishra is also the elected Board of Director for the most credible and oldest children & youth media network CIFEJ. He has been an active member of the Cannes producers’ network.
