Bhubaneswar: The flagship biennial investors’ summit of the state, Make in Odisha Conclave 2018 will feature a state-of-the-art Expo which will project the investment opportunities across focus sectors and the manufacturing prowess of the State. This will be the largest ever industrial expo of the State. The Expo shall be inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on November 11, 2018 at 6.30 PM at Janata Maidan. The inauguration will be followed by a scintillating cultural programme to showcase Odisha’s heritage and modern art forms.
The highlight of the event will be the Odisha Theme pavilion named “Deomali” with mesmerizing projections on the geodesic dome. This dome is being constructed for the first time in India and will project the focus sectors and prominent tourism locations in the state. Besides, there would be ample usage of cutting-edge technologies like “kinetic installation” wherein the visitors can marvel at the synchronized beauty of 108 spheres. Visitors can also witness the future Smart City and the natural beauty of Odisha in a never-before-seen way through virtual reality. The visitors will also get to learn about successful Odias who have made their mark in the areas of entrepreneurship and innovation and are helping shape the Odisha of tomorrow.
Sanjeev Chopra, Principal Secretary, Industries, Government of Odisha said, “The Expo will be the single biggest attraction of the Make in Odisha Conclave 2018 and we are leaving no stones unturned in making this a memorable experience for the visitors. Apart from the large companies such as Tata Steel, Aditya Birla Group, Jindal Steel & Power, Adani Group and ITC, over 25 MSMEs and over 20 start-ups will also showcase their manufacturing capabilities and experience of investing in Odisha.”
With over 100 exhibiting companies across focus sectors of the State i.e. Food Processing, Downstream industries in Metal sector, Electronics Manufacturing, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Textiles & apparel, defence etc. the expo will showcase the potential for manufacturing and industrial growth of the state besides providing a platform for the best minds to meet and interact.
The passes for the ‘Expo Inaugural’ scheduled at 06:30 PM on November 11 can be collected on a first-come-first-serve basis upon production of valid Government ID during 1000 – 1800 hours on November 08-09, 2018 from IPICOL House, RupaliChowk or OMC House, near State Guest House, Bhubaneswar. No entry will be allowed to the venue without the passes on November 11. Expo entry will be free to all during November 12 – 15 (without passes). The visiting hours will be 11:00 AM to 08:30 PM during November 12 – 15.
