DGP review Covid enforcement measures in Odisha

Bhubaneswar : Amidst scary second wave of Covid, DGP Abhay Singh reviewed Covid enforcement measures, implementation of night curfew, weekend shutdown, functioning of border check posts and preparedness to ramp up police assistance to tackle Covid-19, here on Sunday.

As many as two permanent border check posts have been working actively at Laxmannath and Udaypur, Talasari in balasore and at Hatibari and Chaksuliapada in Mayurbhanj are active round the clock on Bengal border, said officials.

Similarly, around 22 temporary check posts set up in Balasore and 32 in Mayurbhanj to seal the borders and seven platoons OSAP deployed in Balasore and four in Mayurbhanj to intensify Covid enforcement.

Further DGP also visited DPO and interacted with Police personnel in Bhadrak and urged the SP to ensure effective enforcement along with empathy. Seven platoons OSAP deployed to intensify Covid enforcement.
