Puri: Amidst scary second wave of coronavirus , Puri SP Samarth Verma today announces ban on cremation of non-Puri residents at Swargadwara here from April 26, in view to contain the spread of deadly virus.
As per the official order, the cremation of non-puri residents will not be allowed from April 26, till further orders also looking forward to the steep rise in Covid cases in daily basis , as a precautionary measures other funeral related rituals and Asthi Visarajan will not be allowed near the sea.
Further, dead bodies of COVID-19 patients in Puri district will be cremated at Mangalanadi ghat, the official added.
