Lanjigarh: The DAV Vedanta International School at Lanjigarh in Kalahandi district has achieved cent per cent result in CBSE Class 10 results, which were declared on May 29.
The school, which was established in 2006 with only four students to provide quality education and modern facilities in a tribal-dominated remote corner of Odisha, now has more than 1000 students hailing from within 25 km radius. This year, out of 24 students who appeared in the CBSE board examinations eight have scored 90% and above marks.
Ashish Kumar Sahu from Muniguda has made the district proud by scoring 492 out of 500, thereby securing 98.4%.
Principal of the school Ms Shukla Chakraborty congratulated the students and thanked the teachers and staff. “This is very happy day for the students and the parents,” she said.
Chairman of the school, Mr Jalaj Malpani also congratulated the students and teachers and underscored the importance of quality education in overall development of the region.
DAV Vedanta International School, located in Vedanta Township, VAL, Lanjigarh, is a co-educational senior secondary institution affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on provisional basis since 2006.
