Bhubaneswar: DAV Public School, Pokhariput organized ‘Encomium-2018’, a special felicitation ceremony on Saturday in honour of their prodigies who held positions in their classes, got full mark in various subjects, secured 90% and above in AISSCE(+2) and 95% Above in AISSE (Std.X) for the academic session 2017-18.
The celebration took place in the school auditorium in the presence of the Chief Guest, Sj. Lalit Das, IPS, Additional DG of Police and CMD State Police Housing Corporation, who gave away the mementoes and certificates to meritorious students including the position holders in the school in AISSCE and AISSE 2018. In +2 Science Pratyush Mishra (96.4%), Saswat Das (95.8%), Debankit Priyadarshi (95.6%) and in Commerce Surag Dash (94%), Ashis Aman (92.8%), Jaganmoy Pattnaik (91.4%) were felicitated for standing 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. In Std.X, school topper Saswati Subhalaxmi, 2nd toppers Kritika Patnaik, Atishma Aishwarya and 3rd topper Lopita Mohapatra were lauded for their achievements. All-rounders of Std.X Kritika Patnaik and Subhasmita Mandhata of Std.XII were also acknowledged. Besides that, three most promising students from Std.X and XII were appreciated for their escalating performance.
30 students securing 95% or above in Std. X Board, 53 students with 90% or above in +2 Science and Commerce streams, 19 students who scored full mark (100) in various subjects in Std.X were awarded with accolades.
“I wish the students will go tougher facing the challenges of life undaunted in their future endeavour. Also I hope this ceremony will be an inspiration for the upcoming batches” said Mr.Das, the Chief Guest.
The function was given a touch of festivity with many accolades and applause. The Chairman of SMC, Sj. Madan Mohan Panda, the Chairman of DAV SMC, the Regional Director of DAV Institutions, Odisha zone –I, Dr. K.C.Satapathy, the school Principal, Dr. Sujata and principals of the twin city who were present on the occasion appreciated the efforts of the students and blessed them to bring more laurels to their families and society in future.
