Bhubaneswar : With an aim to enkindle awareness towards benefits of yoga among students, DAV Public School, Pokhariput celebrated ‘7th International Day of Yoga’ on 21 June by performing yoga, asanas and pranayama on virtual mode. It was coordinated by the yoga teacher Rajalaxmi Tripathy and compered by Sasank Kumar Pradhan.
The observation began with the motivational address by Principal Dr Sujata which was followed by an online yoga session for the students, parents and teachers by Yoga teacher Rajalaxmi. On this occasion winners of different competitions were felicitated with e-certificates.
The Chief Speaker of the day, Swami Sadananda Saraswati of Chinmaya Mission apprised students about the significance of yoga in their day-to-day life for eradicating diseases and improving concentration.
The Principal, Dr. Sujata, highlighted the importance of yoga in keeping body and mind healthy to the students and advised them to practice it regularly for a better life.
