Bhubaneswar: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar joined the celebration of the “Constitution Day” also known as “Samvidhan Divas” organized by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, New Delhi online from the campus of IIT Bhubaneswar, to commemorate the adoption of Constitution of India as per the directives of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. All participated and aptly listened to the addresses by Hon’ble President, Hon’ble Vice-President, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha. The staff and students of the Institute joined the celebration proceedings via live telecast from the Central Hall of Parliament, New Delhi and joined the pledge administered by Hon’ble President of India in the Administrative Building of the Institute.
Prof. R.V. Raja Kumar, Director, presided over the participation of the event from IIT Bhubaneswar and offered floral tributes to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution. On this occasion, the Director said, “It is very inspiring to join the event organized at the Central hall of the Parliament and take the oath directly administered by hon’ble president. The faculty, staff and students at IIT Bhubaneswar will surely strive to uphold the core values behind the Constitution in letter and spirit”.
The Students participated in the programme from their respective places. Also present on the occasion were Deans, Heads of Schools, Registrar, IIT Bhubaneswar along with Faculty, Officers and Staff of the Institute
