Bhubaneswar: Chief MinisterNaveen Patnaik Inaugurated 3rd Odisha Travel Bazaar in Bhubaneswar along with other dignitaries, travel trade and tour operators.
Odisha has witnessed a 9% growth in tourist arrival which is more than the global tourist growth of 4%. This trend is a positive sign for the state says CM Naveen Patnaik at #OdishaTravelBazaar2019. Odisha Tourism has made convergence with Forest Department to promote ecotourism as 37% of state’s total geographical territory is forested says CM Naveen Patnaik.
Considering the state’s rich Buddhist heritage, efforts are being taken to position Odisha among international Buddhist destinations said Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik.
Department of Tourism in partnership with the FICCI conducting the event, which would include the department’s proactive outreach to stakeholders of tourism and hospitality sector through a series of domestic road shows and during landmark events such as the ITB Berlin, WTM London, GITB Jaipur and many more national tourism events. 26 leading foreign tour operators from 16 countries, 60 leading domestic tour operators from 19 cities in India as well as international airline and travel writer–all of whom would engage in B2B meetings with about 50 tour operators and hoteliers from Odisha who would participate as sellers to showcase and market the tourism products of Odisha along with the Union Ministry of Tourism and Odisha Tourism.
