Initiative by joint collaboration of Ministry of Civil Aviation, Airport Authority of India & Alliance Air with Government of Odisha.
Bhubaneshwar: Alliance Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India is all set to add smiles on the faces of children with special needs by turning their dream of flying by air into a reality.
The airline will take these junior flyers on a 40 minute long ‘Dream Flight’ within Bhubaneshwar.
Alliance Air is delighted to take these kids on this special flight which will give them the opportunity to experience the joy of flying and enhance their aspirations.
Almost all children are from the urban poor areas of Bhubaneshwar and a few from a tribal village in Baripada. There will be a total of 44 children on the dream flight of which there are 21 girls & 23 boys. 19 Escorts will be accompanying the special children. Minimum age of children on the Dream Flight is 8 years and maximum is 18 years.
The children have been selected by Swabhimaan- an NGO based in Bhubaneshwar. The initative is a result of joint collaboration of Ministry of Civil Aviation, Airport Authority of India & Alliance Air with Government of Odisha.
Before the take off there will be celebrations at the Bhubaneshwar Airport adding to the excitement of the children, followed by a special performance by children before the boarding.
Alliance Air takes immense pleasure in giving children a taste of independence empowering them to dream big by soaring high along with it.This is the first time the airline has organized a special flight for special children.In 2017 Alliance Air had taken underprivileged women on a special flight.It is the constant endeavor of Alliance Air to bolster its network and soar higher connecting India & beyond.
