Mystic Kalinga, an international festival of poetry and performances will be held in Bhubaneswar during De-cember 22-23, 2017. World renowned mystic and yogi Sadhguru will inaugurate the Mystic Kalinga.Central Theme of Mystic Kalinga is Transcending Boundaries. Central theme of Mystic Kalinga is derived from the Odia word “Aseema” which in English refers to Transcending Boundaries. Aseema (also written as Asima), is also used in Sanskrit and Hindi. In OdiaAsima, (ଅସୀମ), means having no boundaries. Translated into English it refers to limitlessness, indefinite, boundless, universal and unlimited.
Mystic Kalinga, an international festival of poetry and performances, returns to the smart city. During the two days this week, 22-23 December 2017, Bhubaneswar will see hundreds of renowned poets and creative artists reciting and performing at the event. Renowned Spiritual Master Sadhguru will inaugurate the event and several SahityaAkademi and Padma Awardees will be joining to discuss how literature transcends boundaries.
Speaking at the Press Meet, Mystic Kalinga, Founder and President Mr. RashmiRanjanParida highlighted the need to focus on literature especially on poetry and performances. He expressed happiness on the huge positive response fron the nook and corners of the world to Mystic Kalinga. Recently the team Kalinga Literary Festival has expanded its outreach to Kandhamal and has plans to take Mystic Kalinga to different regions of Odisha, India and South East Asia.
Mystic Kalinga is an emerging platform of poets and performers designed to promote young mind’s participa-tion in art, culture and creative dialogue with the past, present and future.
Sadhguru will join Mystic Kalinga as the Chief Guest and the Key Note Speaker. He will speak on his book and reflect upon his literary and spiritual journey. Leading poet, writer and co-author with Sadhguru, Ms. Arundhathi Subramaniam will discuss with Sadhguru on his new book Adiyogi: The Source of Yoga. It should be noted that Sadhguru is a ‘realized yogi, mystic and visionary’, a globally revered spiritual leader, who has re-cently launched Rally for Rivers, a much appreciated nation-wide public awareness campaign and movement to restore and revitalize the Indian rivers. There will be multi-lingual poetry sessions in Odia, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu and English. Local folk artists will also have a performance during the festival.
