Bhubaneswar: Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) hosted the People’s Budget Conclave on 23rd February, 2021. It was organized by X-FIN , the Finance Association of XIMB in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence in Fiscal Policy & Taxation (CEFT). The conclave aimed at a detailed coverage of the Odisha State Budget 2021-22.
XIMB was honoured to host speakers of such eminence and is grateful to them for making the conclave a massive success. Shri Ashok K. K. Meena,(IAS, Principal Secretary to Government of Odisha, Finance Department), Dr. S. P.Rath (Joint Secretary to Government of Odisha, Finance Department), Mr. Amar Patnaik (MP, Rajya Sabha), Shri Rajeeb Sekhar Sahoo (Principal Partner of M/s SRB and Associates), Ms. Monika O. Neilsen(Chief of Field Office, Odisha, UNICEF) were the esteemed speakers for the occasion. The conclave was moderated by Mr. S.K Padhi, Associate Dean-Executive Education, XIMB and presided by Dr. Prof. Fr. Antony R. Uvary, Vice Chancellor, Xavier University.
It was an extremely thought provoking and informative session. The major components of the state budget were discussed in-depth by the speakers, who also presented the key insights and individual observations on the same. The conclave concluded with students interacting with speakers during the question hour session.
