India’s Vinesh Phogat, competing in the 50kg freestyle wrestling at the Paris Olympics, was disqualified after weighing just 100 gm over the limit. Vinesh, who typically competes in the 53kg category, had slimmed down for the event. Despite heroic efforts to meet the weight requirement, including skipping meals and sleepless nights, she was disqualified, missing out on a historic medal.
