Keonjhar : Vidyabhawan, a free residential school in Khudaposi, Keonjhar for deprived children aided by Thriveni has been awarded for Green school campus category at the World Education Summit, Dubai recently. The school has taken initiatives in recycling and reuse of waste water, solid waste management by recycling of waste paper, plastics, composting organic waste and creating green environment by massive plantation of trees. Besides, Environment learning and awareness is created among inmates by practical activities, special column in the wall magazine. It is also one of the cleanest school in the district, claims Padmolochan Barik, Principal of the school. Representatives from 35 countries participated in the two day Summit organised jointly by Knowledge Human Development Foundation, Dubai and Elects India Digital learning Magazine where Malaya Mohapatra, Founder Vidya Bhawan was invited as a Speaker from India. The prestigious award was presented by Ravi Gupta, Editor, Digital Learning Magazine and Guests from KHDA,Dubai.
