New Delhi: A meeting was taken by the Union Health minister Shri J P Nadda to resolve pending issues of the Pandit Ragunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital, Baripada, Odisha. The Union Petroleum Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan was also present during the meeting. The meeting also discussed the problems being faced by some other government medical colleges regarding inspection by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
To facilitate this, a decision was taken to allow MCI to inspect these colleges and submit a report by the 24th May 2017.
Principal Secretary (Health), Government of Odisha was also present during the meeting along with senior officers of the Health Ministry, including Shri C K Mishra, Secretary (HFW). Principal Secretary (Health), Odisha informed that Government of Odisha has taken necessary action for compliance.
