Puri: Shri Jagannath Temple Administration ( SJTA ) will soon introduce ticket system for darshan of deities at Puri Srimandir, says SJTA Chief Administrator Pradipta Mohapatra. The decision was taken in a managing committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deb today.
As per the SJTA decision, 60 per cent of the tickets will be sold online while 35 per cent of the same will be available at offline counters. Besides, 5 per cent of the tickets will be under the control of SJTA chief administrator.
The ticket darshan system will start after Abakash and Madhyana Dhupa inside the temple, it was learnt. Earlier, the SJTA has introduced queue system (Dhadi Darshan) at Srimandir, for disciplined darshan of the deities.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, SJTA chief administrator Pradipta Mohapatra said that gold received from devotees as donations will be kept in banks under the gold scheme at an interest rate of 2.5 per cent.
It was also decided in the meeting to take stringent action against those involved in the Brahma Paribartan fiasco during Nabakalebara of Lord Jagannath in 2015.
