Bhubaneswar: State based renowned tennis player Kabir Hans bagged laurel for Odisha in ITF World Junior Ranking Tennis Tournament (Group-5) organized from 18th to 22nd November 2019 at the All Assam Tennis Association Complex in Guwahati. For the first time an Odia boy bagged this prestigious title for his extreme refulgence.
According to the information, in the singles group of ITF World Junior Ranking Tennis Tournament, Kabir defeated Karan Singh from Haryana in straight 6-0, 6-1 set. In doubles Kabir Hans and Dhruv Tangri defeated Denim Yadav from Madhya Pradesh and Sushant Dabas from Haryana in straight 7-5, 0-6, 10-6 set. Kabir Hans collected 35 points during this tournament.
Born at the state capital, the boy Kabir Hans has achieved so many successes during his career. He won 40 single seed tournaments during his journey and in doubles he won 33 tournaments. Prior to it, this year he won 24 single seed and 15 double seed tournaments. He is the first player from Odisha to win doubles title in U 18 Boys National Junior Clay Court Tennis Championship held at Chennai in 2018. Apart from it he also won U-18 boys singles title at the ARA-AITA National Series Tournament held at Ahmedabad in 2019 and at international presence he won doubles title at the YMCA TTT-ITF Junior (Grade-4) Tennis Tournament held at Chennai in 2019. Currently he is at 540th position in ITF Junior Ranking with 88.25 points. The whole Odisha is definitely feel proud for his success.
