Sambalpur: Fortnight-long activities on cleanliness campain on the vision of Swachh Bharat today began at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, with employees taking pledge to keep their surrounding clean.
At the corporate headquarters here, Mr Munawar Khursheed, IRPF, administered the “ swachhta shapath” to employees in the presence of Mr OP Singh, Director (Technical/Operations).
He said that there was a visible change after the campaign was kicked off by the central government and all should put their effort to take this vision of Swachh Bharat further and make cleanliness a habit in general.
In his address, Mr OP Singh emphasised on collective efforts in “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”.
The proceedings of the event, which was attended by all the officers and staff at headquarters, were conducted by Mr Sairam, General Manager (CSR).
Similarly employees in MCL units spread over in Jharsuguda, Angul and Sundargarh districts of Odisha also took the swachhta pledge.
A series of activities, including cleanliness drives, rallies, debates and drawing competitions for students, nukkad nataks, etc are being organised during the Pakhwada.
