Bolangir: Sunil Kumar Tandi of Odisha as he won Rs 50 lakh in the popular TV quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati’s Diwali special episode aired on Sony Entertainment Television on Thursday.
Tandi, a District Welfare Officer in Sundargarh district. Tandi made it to the hot seat of the superstar Amitabh Bachchan-hosted show by surpassing nine other contestants in the ‘fastest finger first’ round.
Tandi grabbed the whopping amount of Rs 50 lakh. He also used phone-a-friend lifeline to call his friend Madanjeet Hota to assist him in answering a question. His wife was also present among the audience when he achieved the feat. After clearing 14 rounds out of the total 16, Tandi opted to quit the game with the amount as he ran out of lifelines.
