Bhubaneswar: President Ram Nath Kovind would deliver the third Foundation Day Lecture of the National Law University (NLU), Odisha here on Saturday.
Foundation Day will be presided over by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, the function would be attended by Governor Dr SC Jamir, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as guests of honour.
Established in 2008, the first Foundation Day Lecture here was delivered by Nobel peace prize winner Kailash Sathyarthi in 2015 and the second lecture was delivered by Justice DK Jain in 2016.
During his one-day visit to Cuttack, Kovind would first visit the Netaji Birthplace Museum at Odia Bazaar, where he would garland the statue of Subhash Chandra Bose. Then, he would head for the Anand Bhawan, the house of Biju Patnaik, to dedicate to public the Bhawan, which has been converted into a museum and learning centre.
As part of this programme, the President would address a select audience at the nearby Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other children of Biju Patnaik.
The President is scheduled to visit Puri on Sunday to inaugurate the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University) at the Sri Sadashiva campus.
