Kaniha: NTPC Talcher Kaniha under its CSR initiative has opened an additional Yoga Centre in order to provide yoga training facilities for residents of Permanent Township (PTS) & nearby villages at Kalyan Mandap on September 20, 2017. The other yoga centre functions at Temporary Township.
Chief Guest of the occasion, Shri Ram Kuber, Executive Director, Talcher Kaniha emphasized upon the positive impact on body, mind and soul.
He also stressed on regular application of yoga in day-to-day life to develop the human personality and inclusive growth in terms of peace and harmony in the society.
Later he administered the pledge on “Swachta hi Seva abhiyan” under Swach Bharat Campaign to all the participants to dedicate some time in order to make India Clean.
Guest of honour, Yoga Guru, Shri Tejomayananda Saraswati of Munger Yoga Kendra briefed the usefulness of yoga to avoid various types of diseases & to maintain good health.
On this occasion, Sh. Vedabyasa Mishra, Yoga Trainer demonstrated useful yoga posters to the participants. The programme was attended by Sh. N. S. Rao, GM(TS), Sh. K. S. Sarma, Head of HR, Sh. R. K. Mishra, CMO, NTPC Hospital, Sh. A. K. Das, Sr. Manager(HR-CSR) and members of Union & Associations.
