Odisha: Two electrocuted and seven injured after chariot comes in contact with live wire

Report by Akshya Rout; Jajpur : Two devotees were electrocuted and seven others injured when the chariot they were pulling came in contact with a live wire at TISCO colony within Kaliapani police station of Jajpur district on Thursday.
The iron made chariot of Jagannath temple of Kaliapani came in contact with a live wire when devotees were pulling the chariot. Both the deceased persons have been identified as Suchitra Lenka(35) and Bharat Ray (50). They were working as contractual workers in a company . All the injured persons have been admitted in a hospital at Kaliapani. Tension has mounted in the area after the death of the two workers. Police seized the bodies and sent to the hospital for autopsy, said Ramakanta Mudali the IIC of Kaliapani police station
