Bhubaneswar: In a bid to promote and market Odisha Tourism products within the country, a high level meeting was held today. Presiding over meeting, Ashok Chandra Panda, Minister Tourism and Culture has emphasized on Co-operation of stakeholders to explore more avenues for marketing of the tourism products. Sri Panda also said to take full advantage of the 33rd convention of Indian Tour Operators Association (IATO) scheduled in September to create long lasting business association for tourism growth in the State.
Odisha Tourism along with the Stakeholders of the Stare will participate in B2C Tourism Fair like Travel & Tourism Fairs (TTF) Ahmedabad, Outbound TravelMarket (OTM) Mumbai, South Asia Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) New Delhi, India International Trade Fair (IITF)New Delhi, Great India Travel Bazaar (GITB)Jaipur, Federation of Hotel & Restaurant association of India (FHRAI) Convention and Tourism Investor’s Meet.
Odisha Tourism being the host state, the Department wil also participate in Indian association of Tour Operators (IATO) Annual Convention and Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) to be held in Bhubaneswar. It was also decided that to target the potential Tour Operators and Travel Agents to promote the state in B2B platforms, 6 nos. of Road shows across the country in cities like Varanasik, Bodhagaya, Raipur, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad to be organized.
Dr. Mona Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism and Sri Nitin B.Jawale, Director and Additional Secretary along with Department Officials also participated in the discussion.
