Puri: Niladri Nilaya Yojana to make Puri Beggar Free City kicks off on Tuesday. A team from Collectorate with the help of NGO brought beggars from Badadanda area & rehabilitated them in shelter homes providing food, clothes, medicines, etc. Efforts r being made to bring them into mainstream.
More than 30 beggars, including some elderly persons, differently-abled were rescued from the Badadanda area and then shifted into shelter homes after counselling. The Dist Admin has deployed 4 teams comprising 40 persons for the noble task.
Puri Dist Administration urges beggars & donors to change their mindsets & help the Dist Admin in its endeavor to include beggars, homeless & destitute persons in the mainstream of society & actualizing their potential under Niladri Nilaya Yojana for Beggar Free Puri.
