Report by Badal Tah; Rayagada, September 20: Shri Kamal Kant Sharma, IGP, CRPF from Bhubaneswar visited the fourth Battalion at Rayagada to review the activities of the Battalion in combating the left wing extremism and several civic action programmes taken up to bridge the gap between the rural communities and security personnel. Other facets of action by the Battalion were also reviewed and joint strategies planned to keep peace and tranquility in the region.
He was joined by Sh. Harvinder Singh Bains, DIGP CRPF (Tac Hqr Rayagada), Sh. Yetendra Kumar Rajput, Commandant -04 Bn CRPF, Col. Sunil Bhat, NCC Commandant, Sh. Manoj Kumar Sicon, Second-In-Command 04 Bn CRPF, Smt Mitu Roy, Dy.Commandant- 04 Bn CRPF, Sh. Ashok P.M. Dy.Commandant- 04 Bn CRPF, Sh. Mouli Mohan Kumar, Dy. Commandant (Odisha Sector- Bhubaneswar).
After interacting with Jawans, they paid visits to the nearby orphanage at Seva Sadan and Old Age Home at Housing Board where they generally assist in several important occasions like Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti(Swachhata Diwas), etc. The visit of such a senior official has boosted the morale and commitment of the jawans in the battalion.
