Bhubaneswar: Krushi Bhavan added another feather to Odisha’s cap with its shortlisting for prestigious World Architecture Festival Award 2019. Designed for sustainability, the 1.3 lakh sq ft administrative centre features an expressive combination of regional materials & vernacular narratives.
Krushi Bhawan, built at a cost of Rs 70 crore in Bhubaneswar, has been shortlisted for the WAF in the Building category. The architecture festival will be held from December 4 to 6 in Amsterdam.
Spread over 1.3 lakh square feet and four floors, the Krushi Bhawan is the office of the State Department for Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment.
The project work had been started in 2013 and was completed this year. Studio Lotus, a Delhi-based architectural firm, has designed the Krushi Bhawan.
