Bhubaneswar: Odisha has formed an empowered Group of Ministers & a Committee of Secretaries under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary to evaluate the emerging situation and take all necessary steps for preventing, containing the spread of #COVID_19.
As a precautionary measure to combat #Covid_19 State Govt has issued notice to cancel non-essential official gatherings like seminars, workshops, conferences etc. Social gathering like religious functions, marriage receptions, parties etc shall be regulated by local authorities.
CM Naveen Patnaik has appealed all to take preventive measures to combat #Coronavirus and advised to practice frequent hand washing, strict sanitation protocol, sneezing and coughing etiquette. CM also appealed all to stop spitting “Paan”.
Earlier CM Naveen Patnaik has declared COVID-19 as a “Disaster” for the State under the provisions of Disaster Management Act. 2005 to adequately empower the public officials to combat the spread of #COVIDー19.
