Bhubaneswar: The State Government has approved a proposal on granting university status to the CV Raman College of Engineering here, according to Higher Education Additional Secretary PK Das. The move came on the recommendation of high-level empowered committee that submitted its report after reviewing all the angles of the college. A Bill to grant university status to the college would be tabled by the Skill Development and Technical Education Department in the Winter Session of the Assembly, official sources said.
