Nimapada: Odisha Diary Foundation conducted tree plantation drive in the campus of Nimapada Autonomous College on the ocassion of College’s foundation day. Over 200 sapling planted on this ocassion.
Nearly 100 Students of Nimapara Autonomous College participated in this plantation drive orgnaised by the Odisha Diary Foundation. Prof. Raja Kishore Rath, Principal, Nimapara Autonomous College, Sri Manas Ranjan Swain, HOD of Department of GEOLOGY, Dr. P.K Swain, HOD of the Department of COMMERCE, many lectureres from various department joined the porgram. Plantation include fruit-bearing trees like mango, jackfruit, jamun, coconut, etc.
Dipankar Piyush lead the plantation drive. College Principal Prof. Raja Kishore Rath said everyone should work towards saving trees for the survival of future generations.
Rashmi Ranjan Parida, Founder and Chairman of Odisha Diary Foundation said, “We feel that we should create awareness among students about impact of climate change and benfit of planting a tree. We believe in preserving and protecting nature.We urged the youth to plant saplings for the protection of the environment. We are enouraging students to plant the maximum number of saplings in their houses.”
