Puri: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today lanuches financial assistance distribution to beneficiaries under KALIA scheme at Puri, wishes prosperity to the farmers’ family in the state .
CM Naveen Patnaik addressing a massive rally at Puri says farmers under KALIA scheme will get ₹5000 on the day of Akshaya Trutiya for Kharif crop & ₹5000 for Rabi crop on Nuakhai
Addressing farmers, CM Patnaik said, “ You (farmers) are providing food to the State. The grains and vegetables you produce are being used in Lord Jagannath’s ‘Mahaprasad’. You are doing a noble deed. Therefore, I have named this scheme as ‘KALIA’.
“Before starting the journey (Yatra) of ‘KALIA’ scheme, I took the blessings of Lord Jagannath today. No one can stop the ‘KALIA Yatra’. It will prove to be a milestone in Odisha’s economy. The scheme will help farmers improve their agricultural activities as well as their livelihood and show a new path to the entire nation,” the Chief Minister said.
