Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched grid connected rooftop solar projects in Odisha.
A web platform www.rtsodisha.gov.in was also launched to help project stakeholders interact with consumers and provide services.
Under the programme, consumers can install small solar plants on their rooftops and consume the generated solar power during day time. Excess power can be exported to the grid through service cables.
The State government will provide 30 percent subsidy to the consumers. At present, current investment for installation of a rooftop project is around Rs 70,000 per KW.
