Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik inagurates annual conference of Indian Society of Nephrology. Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik said that deliberations during the conference will inspire new diagnostics and treatment in the field of Nephrology stressing on #Odisha Government’s efforts in the treatment of kidney-related diseases. He stressed that more than 35,000 needy patients have been treated with 70,000 dialysis sessions this year alone, free of cost through SAHAY. Through #BijuSwasthyaKalyanYojana, free renal treatment is being provided to patients with an annual income of less than ₹ 3 lakhs.
Shri Patnaik added that more than 150 transplants have been carried out in state medical colleges, free of cost while diagnostics for kidney and associated diseases like diabetes have also been made free in state health facilities.
