Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik disapproves abusive politics, rejects talks of any alliance with BJP, Congress. CM Naveen Patnaik said this while responding to Editorial Director of The New Indian Express Prabhu Chawla on abusive politics, BJP’s Mission 121+ during an interactive session at a literary function.
Patnaik virtually pulled up his Ministerial colleague Damodar Rout for the latter’s disparaging public statement against women Anganwadi Workers.
Such remarks are not in good taste, he meant to say. “I have spoken to the Minister (in this regard), he said, adding that he himself always refrains from taking anyone’s name in this manner in his statements.
CM Patnaik reiterated the BJD’s stand that the party would go it alone in elections keeping equidistance from the BJP and the Congress. The BJD would continue seeking people’s support on the basis of its Government’s welfare schemes for them, Patnaik said in reply to a question at a literary function here.
