Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved infrastructure projects worth ₹166 crore, including four bridges and roads each and directed immediate start of work on the projects. Details of the approved projects:
a) Roads
• Rajnagar-Dangamal-Talachuan road, Kendrapara; 8.290 km – ₹10 crore
• Balipada-Hatiota road, Ganjam; 10.77 km – ₹12.95 crore
• Mahanga-Katikata road; 20.610 km – ₹18.65 crore
• Angul-Kalamchuin road widening – ₹21.95 crore
b) Bridges
• High-level bridge over Biluakhai river, Shankarsahi, Jagatsinghpur – ₹54.06 crore
• Bridge over Anga river, Agalpur-Bindhapali road, Balangir – ₹14.55 crore
• Bridge over Ib river, Sabdega-Rajpur road, Sundargarh – ₹20.77 crore
• High-level bridge over Jira river, Gandhichowk-Ambapali road, Bargarh – ₹13.06 crore
Modernization effort of ₹225 crore has been approved for Jamujhadi-Basudevpur-Dhamra road and will be shared equally by State Government, Dhamra Port Company Limited and ITR Chandipur. The modernization will significantly enhance connectivity to Dhamra Port.
