Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced hike in construction workers’ pension from ₹300 to ₹500 and person for those who are more than 80 years has been increased from ₹500 to ₹700. The new pension will be given from February 2019.
He has also announced hike in assistance for daughter’s marriage of construction workers from ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 and death assistance from ₹1 lakh to ₹2 lakh, while accidental death assistance has been increased to ₹4 lakh from ₹2 lakh.
