Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik advised Vigilance officers ‘zero tolerance policy’ towards corruption through 3Ts, teamwork, transparency and technology. CM Patnaik said this at the concluding ceremony of the State Vigilance’s diamond jubilee held here on Friday.
The State Government is planning to set up an anti-corruption cell in each department and to put in place vigilance mechanism at block and district levels to stop corruption at all levels.
Stating that the State Vigilance has grown from strength to strength and has established itself as a leading anti-corruption agency in the country during its 60 years of formation, Patnaik said, “I expect Vigilance department officers will work dedicatedly to carry forward Government’s policy of zero tolerance towards corruption.,”
A short-film on State Vigilance, Commemorative Medal, Formation Sign, Revamped and dynamic website of Odisha Vigilance was also released on the occasion.
Vigilance DG RP Sharma claimed that the department has taken adequate measures to create awareness and involve public in the ongoing fight against corruption.
On the occasion, fiver former Directors and families of 10 former Directors were felicitated. Among others, Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera and Chief Secretary AP Padhi graced as guests.
